Rice Krispies, Arthur C. Bartner And The Ostrich

Rice Krispies are made by cooking, drying, and then toasting rice grains. Each hollow Krispie’s walls are very thin due to the bubbling and expansion of the grains. The snap, crackle and pop sounds are created when the delicate structures collapse after exposure to liquid.

Arthur C. Bartner is in the midst of his 42nd season as the leader of the USC Trojan Marching Band. In all this time, he has only missed one home game.

The ostrich moves its legs back and forth very quickly without lifting them too high off the ground,

and is acknowledged to be the quickest bird on land.
