Nicodemus National Historic Site, The American Heritage Dictionary And Ono

Nicodemus National Historic Site in Kansas is cited by the U.S. National Park Service as “the oldest and only remaining all Black Town west of the Mississippi.” Nicodemus served as an important outpost for African Americans moving westward after the Civil War.

The fifth edition of The American Heritage Dictionary is out this month with 10,000 new words.
