Saving The Great Bear Rainforest, Corduroy And A Hero

Stretching along British Columbia’s coast north of Vancouver, Canada’s Great Bear Rainforest is the largest coastal temperate rainforest on Earth.

There are roughly 5,000 members in the Corduroy Appreciation Club, with chapters as far away as London and South Africa. The ridge in corduroy is “wale,” and a whale is the club’s mascot.

Hero is an Irag-born-U.S-raised dog who is serving the family of a fallen American soldier.
