Mount Rushmore, The Bolshoi Theatre And Untouchables

Luigi Del Bianco was the chief stone carver of Mount Rushmore, providing many of the more intricate details of Abraham Lincoln’s face.  It took 14 years to complete the monument.

Home to Moscow’s most famous ballet troupe and opera, the Bolshoi Theatre reopens tonight after six years of renovation costing $800 million. 400 grams of gold were used for one chandelier.

There is a new monument in India built to memorialize the country’s Dalits, people once considered “untouchable.” The Dalits never had their own religious figures to worship as they were not allowed to go into temples.
