Strike Two For The MLK Memorial

As if it wasn’t bad enough that the MLK Memorial was not made in America, it’s been discovered that two of the quotes on the statue are in error.

Inscription on the wall: “I was a drum major for justice, peace and righteousness.”

Dr. King’s actual quote: “If you want to say that I was a drum major, say that I was a drum major for justice, peace and righteousness.”

Inscription on the wall: “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice.”

This was actually said by Reverend Theodore Park, and was always referenced by Dr. King as such.
